It’s Good to be Back

Posted by Pastor Szekely on January 18, 2007

G’day all!

It’s been over a month since my last post…

South-central Nebraska is almost thawed out from the recent ice storms/natural disasters we experienced beginning December 30, 2006. A lot had happened while we all were without electricity…this is what I observed: communities pulled together a little bit more; our local fire department took the lead and went above and beyond ~ great job!; families had more interaction with each other; there were those who exhibited great compassion for others; and we as believers and ambassadors for the Lord had a wonderful opportunity to witness and to show forth the love of Christ unto others. The burden of the ice storm actually brought forth many blessings.

Here are some things that I did not observe during our time of disaster: President Bush didn’t come; no one that I know howled for or blamed the government; Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit; no one asked for a FEMA trailer house or generator; no one looted; and no one from Hollywood even came out to help!

Yes…the disaster we experienced actually brought forth many blessings!

I’ll be posting again soon ~ It’s good to be back!
